In life, they say you often end up where you least expect it — my journey has been a testament to that. Embracing my unique strengths and passions allowed me to pursue unconventional paths, finding my true purpose.

For as long as I can remember, I've had two distinct frames of mind — a struggle between wanting structure and freedom. As a child, I dreamed of either becoming an actress or a lawyer, two worlds that couldn’t seem to be further apart. These early aspirations only marked the start of a lifelong quest to find a career that allowed me to embrace all of my strengths and passions. As it turns out, there aren’t many careers that allow you to negotiate contracts and wear so many different hats, all while having an absolute blast.

I was raised in a household that celebrated the entrepreneurial spirit. My father, the most creative and imaginative person I’ve ever met, was always including us in new adventures. From inventing a new cleanroom fabric to spending a summer working on our sailboat, his personal and professional pursuits were never dull. He always had the freedom to explore and create at his own pace. It instilled in me the idea that life could be more than just a monotonous routine; it could be a canvas to paint your own unique journey.

After college, I found myself vacillating between corporate jobs and less traditional paths. From working in HIPAA compliance for a large insurer to studying fashion in Paris to trying my hand at professional matchmaking, I enjoyed each adventure, but it just wasn’t fulfilling enough. I found myself in a constant tug of war, trying to find a career that truly resonated with who I am as a person.

However, everything changed when my husband made a simple yet profound suggestion: "Why don't you try real estate?" At the time, I was working a highly sought-after job in software sales, pursuing Fortune 500 companies to invest in our predictive analytics platform. Many people wanted this job, and yet, I couldn't see myself in the role for much longer. The weekly travel, coupled with having two small children at home, wasn’t fulfilling enough for a career I wasn’t passionate about.

My husband’s suggestion to try real estate was inspired by our shared love for looking at homes, architectural styles and potential investment properties. It was always in the back of our minds, but now it was my way out — a guiding light forward. With my husband’s unwavering support, I jumped into the industry, ready to explore the limitless possibilities.

Real estate, as it turned out, was the perfect fusion of my corporate background and my less traditional, people-focused endeavors. Through real estate, I can be creative and connect with people while applying the business skills I have mastered over many years. For the first time in my life, I felt that I had found a career path that resonated with me on all levels.

I love helping people, working with them one-on-one, and representing them through the complex real estate landscape. Whether we are looking for your dream home or trying to achieve top dollar for your listing, I enjoy every part of the process. As they say, it isn't work when you love what you do.

Real estate also provides more balance, allowing me to spend more time with our daughters, Ava and Harper, and my husband, Ben. My girls are into gymnastics, horseback riding, drumming, and soccer, so it’s a lot to stay on top of. As a family, we enjoy spending quality time with our neighbors and friends in our close-knit community, entertaining, bringing people together and making them laugh.

I’ve learned that finding your passion, living life on your own terms and embracing the opportunities that come your way is all part of the journey. Through real estate, I have merged my interests and passions, finding my true purpose.

Helping people navigate the emotional journey of finding the perfect home is a genuine passion of mine. Real estate allows me to connect with clients on a personal level, understand their unique needs and preferences and guide them toward properties that align with their dreams and aspirations. It's not just about making a deal; it's about finding your home and making it your HAVEN.

What continues to motivate me is my unwavering commitment to my clients' satisfaction. When you work with me, there's no need to hesitate about reaching out to ask questions or get information. I want to be there every step of the way, exploring properties with you, discussing your likes and dislikes and even providing insights that you may not have considered yet. Along the way, I want this process to be fun! With my sarcastic humor and witty jokes, I hope to make this sometimes stressful experience more lighthearted and enjoyable. Even after the transaction is over, I will remain your lifelong REALTOR® and friend, here to support you throughout the entirety of your homeownership journey.

I don't often give five stars unless they're deserved, and in this case I can say--without reservation--that Amanda has done an excellent job in both buying my new home and in selling my old one.

When it came time to sell the old home, she advised me how to stage it, she had resources and recommendations for services that could help me, and she answered all of my questions promptly, courteously, and selflessly--even when I regrettably interrupted her vacation.  She took care of little things for me (found paperwork I left behind and took in the garbage cans when I was out of town during the sale process), and she made me feel like I had a partner throughout the entire process.

Amanda is the type of positive and friendly woman who attracts like-minded people, and her team reflects that.  Kim was a pleasure to deal with during the closing process--timely and professional, and easy to communicate with her anytime I had a question.  Brandon also was very helpful--he patiently educated me about the process early on, and he often drove a long way to show me homes on a moment's notice.  All three are very friendly, knowledgeable, and selfless with their time, and I now consider them friends.

During our time together, it just so happened that Amanda was named on Washingtonian Magazine's list of Top Real Estate Agents in the DC Area.  I would have been surprised to not see her name there.  The entire experience was actually fun--it's not often that such a stressful thing like buying and selling houses can ultimately be remembered as fun, but that's just Amanda's style.  She has a true passion for real estate sales, and you would be lucky to have her in your corner.

I wish I could give more stars! Amanda helped us through the process of selling our home of 33 years. We've never sold a home, so we were in foreign territory through it all! She answered my gazillion "oddball" questions and was always patient when I was anxious or overwhelmed. We couldn't have  asked for a better person to represent us and our best interests!! Amanda has a wonderful sense of humor that helped me, personally, through some stressful situations. I wish I could take her with us to help us buy our FOREVER home in St. Augustine, FL!!! We will never forget you, Amanda! And THANK YOU from the bottom of our hearts.

We very much enjoyed working with Amanda to buy our first home. We had little background knowledge about the buying process, and Amanda was there whenever we needed her to explain something or help us out. We also appreciate how flexible and responsive she was. For example, she was willing to  accommodate our schedules by showing us houses on evenings and weekends. It was lots of fun to get to know Amanda during hours in the car going from house to house, and we'd definitely recommend her to our friends!

Amanda was absolutely amazing to work with, she provided good advice at each step, was able to run through various scenarios with me and helped me take fact and data based decisions. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a realtor.

Amanda was great! She did an excellent job marketing our house and we had tons of showings which ended up in multiple offers and a sale in 9 days! She also navigated the closing with us efficiently. Pleasure to work with!
